It’s only 9 days until the next bITjAM, we’ve 2 very special visual artists glitching and live coding to the soundscape during the evening.
A message from Matty Robinson one of the visual artists at the October bITjAM, he will be searching for images that relate to the descriptive terms on the bITjAM website to use in the live visual coding program. if anyone would like to contribute some images for the program let us know, and get them to us asap and he can build them in. the more the better!

1st October bITjAM arrangement
We’ve decided to try out an original idea we used in the early days at the bITjAM. We will be writing a score for the improvised piece this month and if it’s a success then we may continue the idea every now and then.
We hope to focus the October bITjAM on the visual artists as the main guests, more will be confirmed asap.
The main audio and visual piece will be performed as a...

DrSkime confirmed for November bITjAM alongside Eskimo Elektro. October bITjAM to follow a score based around a theme and found sound!
Something new
We’re planning to try something relatively new for the October bITjAM. We have in the past loosely arranged each performance around a tempo and an agreed ‘feel’ for the piece.
This time we plan to share this info as well as a few samples well before the event. We have also arranged for visual artists to integrate their live work with the sound, also there is the ability for the audio artists to...
Thnx 2 the folk who said hello to us doing a pocket sized bITjAM at the creative central launch in Stoke on Trent http://bit.ly/DZ8HP
Looking forward to meeting creative folk tonight, we have our special sonic bITjAM ‘business promo’ ready!
Attending the creative central launch tonight at the regent theatre. Might be taking some sound generating loviness.
We’re expecting to update the details of October bITjAM soon, we can say it will involve using some found sounds and film as a theme.

Hosting a bITjAM talk
We have been invited to talk at the Headtalk fringe night at Fat Cats on the 1st October 7.15pm. We will talk about the evolution of the concepts behind the bITjAM and then answer any questions. The evening is free to enter and promises to be a great event to share creative ideas.

We’ve been playing with browser based sequencers at the bITjAM towers, here’s a linky http://zdm2.xrt.me, don’t forget bITjAM this Thursday!
Hobnox audiotool-browser based rebirth esq...
Here’s the Hobnox Audiotool, a great sounding rebirth like tool with great GUI, I even managed to run it on the acer aspireone in ff3 although I glitched out a bit! This browser based sequencer is very flexible and usuable in a live setting, of course depending on internet connection.
Have fun…
Browser based electronica
Here’s a great browser based electronica sequencer called pulse by fiveexperience, it takes a little while to get a groove on but well worth it, it even loaded on a linux based acer aspireone!
We’ll be checking out a few more free browser based tools and sharing the love from the bITjAM towers in the next few weeks.
